The purpose of our stay was about the right environment. That was achieved. There were a few issues to note.

It was awesome! The home was perfect. Couple of things we had to get taken care of but we could not have asked for a better weekend.
It was PERFECT!

Great House! Easy Check in and Check out

Enjoyed our stay. However, wasn't as peaceful as we hoped because of construction of new home next door.

Great house, especially for one family. Walk to the beach is very close and the pool was great to have and very clean. House was clean, and only complaint would be that the lights on the underside of the house didn't work. Having the elevator for bags and coolers was awesome!

FreeBird was perfect for a family of 6, with room for 2 more kids. The problems in earlier reviews seem to have been addressed, furniture has been cleaned and kitchen was adequately equipped. Location is great. The layout is ok. Nice to have enclosed pool. Bed mattresses and living room furniture could be replaced. Wood Floors need deep cleaning/mopping.

this was perfect configuration as our 2d house down the street for the grown children and their families -- it just needs some attention to make it better -- more dishes, kitchen implements, new sheets, bedding. We would love to rent again, but this is critical

Very quiet place next to beach.

We had a overall great time. We love SGI and staying in the plantation. We did have a few issues with bugs (flying ants? And roaches) the kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms were lacking dressers to put your clothes and the kids closet was packed full of junk so you couldn’t use it if you wanted to. The living room furniture has definitely seen better days it’s very stained we covered it with blankets we found before letting the kids on it. Location to the beach was great being a row back you weren’t far at all from the public boardwalk.

Very close to the beach! However if you need WiFi bring a hotspot.

Plantation was well tended. Great if climbing steps is no problem. Not a good place if you plan on doing any cooking. A few frying pans and that’s about it. Master bedroom mattresses pretty worn out. A little disappointed on location. The way it was listed it looked like it was an ocean front property but it wasn’t.

We stayed at Freebird in Plantation on St George Island. The realty company was great, very helpful and made check in/check out easy. The Plantation is gated so you do need to stop at guard shack whenever you enter, only those on your rental list will be permitted. There are two pools, tennis courts and a fitness center. Our code did not work so we didn’t use them, Freebird has a pool and we pretty much stayed at the beach. There are great walking paths and trails, we had bikes, but also walked a few. The house is spacious, the elevator makes getting to the kitchen/living area a breeze (third floor). The walk to beach is short, boardwalk at end of culd de sac, great location. There were a few small boogie boards (they were cracked but worked) and a few pool floaties. Kitchen is fairly well stocked, I would recommend bringing plastic cups/plates. Updates and some minor repairs could be done (window blinds dont all work, kitchen windows have screens but dont stay open, some drywall cracks/holes...nothing major). For the price we paid I was completely satisfied with our stay. There are some massive homes in this area, everything is beautiful. The no see ums were out so bring bug spray! We normally stay at Cape San Blas, decided to try out a new spot, glad we did!

Beautiful beach weekend getaway. Lovely location, good amenities in the home but the flights of stairs wore us out. I do not recommend this property for older visitors or families with very young children.

We only stayed two night but was a great place. Wish the pool was heated.

The property is at the far end of the island but gets you away from crowds. Is close to the Jetti which is good for fishing and watching.
