Mimi's Beach House

I came down for my 62th birthday. I had the best birthday ever!!

We found Mimi‘s cottage to be comfortable and very “old Florida“ with a great back porch and ocean view. Can’t wait to come back!

This was our 5th or 6th time staying here, we love it! The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed. We did go out to eat a few times and enjoyed oysters from Lynn's and Paddy's and the best pizza form BJ's Pizza. The TV is a little hard to operate for these old folks, but being at the beach who needs it! And we must say the colorful chairs on the porch were a big improvement.

The house is located in a great location and the inside is adorable. The kitchen was well stocked. Will definitely book again. I just hated our vacation was shortened because of the hurricane.

We had a nice stay for our first September visit to SGI. The property is in a beautiful location with great views and mere steps from the beach. It could use some basic maintenance however.

We have been vacationing at SGI for 25+ years and have used Suncoast for many of our stays. We appreciate their customer service, variety of rental choices, affordability, and immediate help if needed during our stay. We have always stayed beachfront and absolutely love Mimi’s since it suits our needs as a couple and when grown children come to visit.

This house has everything you need for a great week at the beach. We’ve stayed here twice and will probably stay again!

We had the best week at Mimi's! The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The beach is literally right outside the door and no steps to walk down! It is in the perfect spot on the island where you can easily walk to the stores and restaurants. Suncoast is hands down the best rental company too!

We have stayed here for 6 years in a row now. It’s perfect for the 4 of us. Old Florida at its best! No complaints at all!

Had a wonderful time at Mimi's Beach House . The house was clean and well maintained .Plenty of room and best of all it's right on the beach .St George Island is so relaxing this was our 4th vacation in a row there. We love Suncoast Vacation Rentals, they gave us super customer service . We are going back there next year too !!

mimi's beach house is a great place to stay

We have always rented from Suncoast because of their customer service and value. This year there were only 3 of us and we rented this 2 bedroom home right on the beach. Even though there are only 2 bedrooms the house has a ton of space and a beautiful view. Other reviews mention the lack of deck chairs but that has been remedied and replaced with gorgeous Adirondack chairs and rockers. We needed a few things and Suncoast was very quick to respond! We have already booked for next year!

Enjoyed Mimi's very much.

We loved the house. The only thing that we did not like was the cable TV did not get the network channels ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox. We wanted to watch football but could not.

We had to cancel the day of due to a death in the family; Suncoast was awesome; they refunded no questions asked, great company.

This was our 3rd? Stay in this property- a lot of upgrades have been made in last couple of years to update & upgrade, but the size & location is what we come for. No complaints whatsoever- will stay again. Sun coast properties is easy to work with & they are on the island.

We love this house. The location and coziness and budget is spot on for us. This was our 3rd stay and only left early because of hurricane.

as always it was a great visit. The only thing that would make it better would bw a tv in the master bedroom.

We came here to get away and decompress from things and we were not disappointed! Mimi's was just what the Dr ordered! The view was amazing and have the beach right there was truly wonderful! We have not seen that many stars since we were kids! The A/C worked great and was needed after spending time in the hot sun all day! The place was clean and there was everything you need there to enjoy the weekend!I highly recommend booking at Mimi's! We will definitely be back!

We were very pleased with our stay at Mimi’s Beach Cottage. Very spacious with lots of light. We had everything we needed. Right on the beach which is what we wanted. We would definitely book this property again. Love the vintage feel!

The Wi-Fi was kinda in and out is the only small complaint.

Property was perfect for my purposes on this trip

This is our fourth time to Mimi’s. The upgrades were much needed, but even without them we would’ve came back! Love that the carpet was gone. No more sand spurs! Do bring your own chairs for the porch! Supplied ones are 1 plastic chaise and 1 chair. The back door lock was an improvement (although it was falling apart-so handy husband rebuilt it. It was a Sunday and only busy signals when we tried to call the office). No more pinching when you open it. The king bed was very comfortable. We couldn’t pick up local tv stations to monitor weather, so maybe a written guide on how to use the tv would help and a digital antenna for local stations. If you like to cook in daily like we do, might want to bring your own utensils and pots to boil in. Just the basics are supplied. Bring your own cleaning supplies too.
The best part about Mimi’s little beach house is the ocean is your view for the week!

Mimi’s is in a perfect location. The main living area is very spacious and the many windows give you a great view of the beach and ocean. It’s a perfect size for 2 or 3 people. It isn’t fancy but has always been clean when I’ve stayed there.

We loved this beach house. Love the open living area and all the windows and the simplicity of it. And you can tell it’s has recent updates which is nice. The only thing we saw it lacked was more chairs for the porch.. tel we’re cracked so just left one. But I’m sure that happened over the summer with renters

Description of house was right on. Nothing fancy great location. I couldn't give five stars because I enjoy live TV Sports and news which were not available due to a lack of cable TV.

Lots of updates that made the stay enjoyable. New beachy paint job inside made it clean, bright and pleasant. Updated electric gave the bathrooms outlets for hair dryer and curler. And new furniture! Removal of the carpeting uncovered the original terrazzo floor and though it sports some wear over the years it was a great improvement. So nice to give this charming place some TLC. It not only needed it but deserved it. Made the stay enjoyable. Looking forward to returning!

The property could use some simple TLC but overall it was nice. No outlets in the bathrooms for us girls to plug our styling tools into was a huge negative.

The house is a charming older beach cottage with direct accused to the beach. Personally I loved it in reference to the cost and location. Not a modern house, but it served our needs. The only thing that was difficult was not enough electrical outlets. ( None in the bathroom.) I was very happy with my stay there. The Sun coast crew was very nice and accommodating.

If you are looking for something posh, upscale, updated, or luxurious, this is NOT your house! But if you want the best location on the beach that has the most personality, plenty of room in big open living and dining areas, a great porch that is just like sitting ON the beach, and the best rental company, Mimi’s is the best bargain on the island. The beds are comfortable, but the living room furniture needs to be replaced. Otherwise we love the quirky imperfections. This is home away from home.

This was our second stay at Mimi’s and we enjoyed a lovely week at the beach on St George island. We went late September- water was still warm and the beach was not crowded. The beach house is nothing fancy - but we visit for the BEACH - which is right out the back door. The house is sufficient for our family visit - 2 full bathrooms and the outdoor shower. Adequate kitchen for staying in most meals. Adequate living space for family traveling with children/teens. We had no issues - enjoyed our stay - will definitely stay again.

Great place for beach vacation for those that appreciate late 50s early 60s feel away from all the hustle and bustle of typical beach vacation cities.

This was a really cute house for two. The second bedroom was unusable because of the musty mildew smell. The bed in the master was comfortable. The covered porch was very useful. Being right on the beach was great. The kitchen had very few accessories so bring things from home if your driving. There was no colander, wine opener, lettuce spinner, sharp knife, scissors.

We so enjoyed our stay as we always do on the island. Mimi’s beach house is old and small but is right on the beach so was perfect for the two of us. We don’t require any large fancy house so we really enjoyed our stay. Suncoast employees always make our stay comfortable and they are always helpful no matter which rental we occupy.

Perfect location in paradise! This house was perfect for our family. My mother has a hard time getting around so having the ground level house with a boardwalk right on the beach was perfect and exactly what we needed! The beach is literally right outside the door. The view from the back patio and inside the house are amazing as well. The house is older but well equipped with everything we needed. We experienced a few minor maintenance issues during our stay and Suncoast was right on top of everything. I would never rent through any other company and would definitely stay in Mimi's again!

Mimis beach house is a plain Jane vacation stay that we absolutely loved. It has everything you need and nothing that you don’t. The beach is just out back to view from the porch or steps away to feet in the water. Yes I would love to see an update to make it creature comfortable such as newer furniture & a big screen tv but it is what it is. 2 steps in at front, level out the back. The very best thing is its location. Close to the island’s amenities. Very close to the beach. The nearest to beach we’ve ever had in 40 years of SGI. You’re right on it. We’ll be back.

We love the location and the price. We don't mind it being a bit run down but the kitchen is lacking in pots and pans, there is no electrical outlet in the bathroom to use a blow dryer nor is there a mirror near another outlet to be able to see while you dry your hair

we've been coming to SGI for 25+ years and have stayed all over the island. this location and first floor old-fashioned walkout was perfect. suggest updating the blue couch and chair in the front room.

This cottage has it’s quirks but it is comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Great views of gulf from every part of the house.

This is an older home that sits facing the beach - you can literally walk out the front door to the beach - you can see the beautiful St George beach and ocean while sitting on the covered porch - the home is older and the area is still recovering from Hurricane Michael, but it is spacious and easily accommodated our family of 6 with 2 living areas and sufficient furnishings - beds were newer and very comfortable - the living room furnishings were sufficient for our needs. Full, good size kitchen as we did a lot of cooking on site. There is covered parking when you enter the property from the street - 3 steps up into the house - no other steps - everything on one level - we would definitely stay here again.

The following is an honest review meant to make this super place even better. Overall a great time. Location is perfect. Spotless clean. Staff was great, including coming to secure a window. The large, attached cover/carport street-side was most welcome. While the carpet may be recent, it should be removed because it collects sandspurs that get into your feet unless shoes are worn...Carpet in a beach house? Queen (full?) mattress is structurally supportive; King is definitely not. "Older" bathroom toilet kept refilling without use (leaky flapper?). "Older" sink flow was barely a trickle...a plugged screen (stacked debris) at the faucet tip. It took two cleanings and flushing flow to clear, but seemed to work well after that. Debris was sand...Leaking pipe somewhere?? "Older" bathroom light needed a second bulb as I recall. Beachside door handle has no clearance, meaning if you grasp the handle to close the door you are going to experience some pain and possible injury. Front and back door locks need to be keyed the would be easy to lock yourself out if you double latch the roadside door and go out the beachside door, as the key only fits the roadside door. This sounds like a lot, but really is relatively minor stuff, except for the gift of the sandspurs and the lack of handle clearance beachside. Honestly...and gently...those need to be dealt with ASAP. We will be back, and have already recommended Mimi's to a friend. Thanks!!

We liked the location, beach front. Very close to the beach. The house was good. The covered entrance helped when it rained. Would prefer larger TVs but they worked. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.

This was our second stay at Mimis. Thanks for making it affordable. It is right on the beach! Some suggestions if funds are available:
The back door knob almost catches your fingers and there are some planks on the boardwalk that might need replacing. At some point, the carpet might need replacing. The mattresses in the bunk bed.are uncomfortable.
